Happiness because he is a role model and trail blazer for young latinos striving as he did to get into the entertainment industry. Tears to my eyes because his story and his struggles are very much like many of our struggles--being raised in a single-parent household in the barrios; being a parent at a very young age; and never leaving sight of his goals or giving up pursuing his dream despite the many obstacles. Pride because 'Film Producer Frank Aragon' is music to my ears and brings a big smile to my face. Pride because DOWN FOR LIFE is up for a world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival. Pride because DOWN FOR LIFE will be a success and open HUGE doors for Frank and Latinos in the industry to come! KUDOS to Frank for his hard work and never giving up in an industry where Latino names are not commonplace and for his tenacity in breaking that barrier!
